Multicultural Resource Centre exists to develop community cohesion and racial harmony.

It also works to provide information, support and resources to BME Communities requiring assistance in a culturally sensitive manner; to develop monitoring mechanism which will assist in identifying the effectiveness of those services. We also deliver projects with issue based activities, mental health, arts and health and children/adult abuse.

We also provide training and educational opportunities wherever possible. We have management committee and pool of freelance session workers who deliver our projects with the help of paid staff and volunteers.

Our projects foster understanding and integration between Asian and mainstream communities.

Work with different groups in partnership to develop projects towards positive image and Community Cohesion.

We also provide Cultural and Religion Awareness Training to Hospitals and Social Services.

We have staff who speak Urdu, English, Punjabi, Kashmiri, Gujarati, Sindhi and Kachi.

We offer innovative responses to the needs of our service users through a variety of projects and activities, including:

  •     Community Development training and practical support for existing and emerging Black and Minority Ethnic individuals and groups.

  •     An Outreach Project of Mental Health Awareness, providing practical support to individuals (incl. home visiting to the most isolated and  vulnerable families, linking
